Photomonth 2009 (Free)

The free photography festival Photomonth has been in full swing since the beginning of October and, despite the name, will run until the end of November. The exhibition is centred around Brick Lane and Shorditch but, there are also different events going on throughout London. Using various venues, from galleries to restaurants, there are over 100 exhibitions, each dedicated to a different style of photography.



X Factor: movie week

Is it a disgrace or just plain predictable that The X-Factor has major flaws this year? Once again the show has failed to represent what The X-Factor should stand for - a singing competition. On Sunday night Lucie Jones and twins John and Edward were in the last two and had to battle it out in the sing-off to stay another week. But who went? I’m sure I don’t have to even say it, as you probably guessed correctly: the untalented boys missed the eviction, when Simon put the deciding vote to the public.

The exhibition with a political message (Free)

If you need a break from a the rush of Christmas shoppers on Oxford Street, then why not see some art at the Political Cartoon Gallery round the corner? A series of David Cameron cartoons are now on show at the gallery on 32 Store Street, which is a stones throw away from Goodge Street Tube Station.
