University of the Arts London (UAL) student Terri Coulthard, 22, helped create controversial costumes for Lady Gaga’s UK tour.

The lucky student from the London College of Fashion (LCF) secured a dream internship making costumes for Lady Gaga’s recent UK tour Monster Ball.

Terri studies BA (Hons) Cordwainers Accessories at LCF; in order to gain vital experience to help further her career on graduation, she undertook an internship with the up-and-coming fashion designer Alex Noble.

Noble is based in north east London and his designs have been used in Italian Vogue and on several of Lady Gaga’s music videos and magazine photo shoots, most notably in the video for Bad Romance.

Coulthard said of the internship: “It gave me an insight into how the industry works and what to expect from a career in fashion.”

She is just one of the many students at UAL who undertake internships in the creative industry alongside their studies.
